Celtic brooch of the latène phase B (380-280 BC), with red glass inlay.
The type reminds on brooches of earlier times, but the form is definitely of the late Latène period. It dates to the change from Latène D1 to Latène D2, within the time between 100 and 50 BC.
This early type of a geschweifte Fibel emerged at the change from the late Latène period D1b to D2a. The absolute date is still discussed, probably between 80 and 40 BC.
The fibula of the type Almgren 65 is connected with the change from Latène period D1 to D2 and the end of the oppida-civilisation between 100 BC and 50 BC.
