This ring is combined with a detailed copy of an roman silver coin (denarius) . The coin, minted during the reign of Trajan (98-117 AD) depicts the portrait of the emperor. The backside shows a tropaion, an acient monument of victory with captured enemy armoury and weapons.
It was usual to decorate rings with coins, many examples are preserved. Our ring comprises reproductions of an original denarius and of a roman ring, freely arranged. Handcrafted from 925 silver.
