This ring buckles emerge in the late 2nd century and became very popular as many finds at roman forts verify. The clever junction mechanism bases on a reconstruction of Jürgen Oldenstein, the original buckle was found at the saalburg fort / Germany and published in his book as no. 1060. This buckles were also indentified as a certain kind of ring brooch, it is still a matter of scientific unagreement. Supplied with closing rivet, size 82 x 50 mm, leather sold separately.
