Late roman belt stiffener after a find from Dorchester. The grave was discovered in 1874 by workmen, it is the burial of a warrior of the late 4th / 5th century AD. The belt fittings as well as the finds of a woman´s grave nearby point to a continental origin of the deceased. Similiar finds come from Donderberg, NL.
Handcrafted from massive bronze. Delivered with bronze washer plate and bronze wire for riveting. Length ca. 73mm each. Set of 9 fittings with washer plates.
