This penannular or ring brooches with polyhedron knobs were part of the viking men´s dress. They were popular in the scandinavian area around the Baltic Sea and found at different archaeological sites like Hedeby/Germany, Vindelgransele/Sweden, Papinsaari/Finland or at the Ladoga-region in Russia and date between the late 9th and the 11th century.
