Among the finest jewellery of the viking age are pendants made in filigree and granulation techniques. High quality masterpieces of the ancient craftmanship are the thor´s hammer from Schonen and the amulets of Hiddensee.
Imitating the karolingian and ottonic artwork, all around the Baltic Sea emerge pendants and brooches in the so-called Terslev-style. Some gold pendants with looped cross ornaments in filigree and granulation techniques were found at Hedeby (pic. 2). Our copies are made from bronze and will be delivered with leather thong. Diameter ca. 52 mm.
