In the merovingian age, woman often wore a set of different amulets and personal belogings hanging at their belts. This could be more practical items like scissors, keys, knives or purses, but also protective amulets like sea shells, pieces of rock crystal, pendants like our replica and even parts of ancient celtic jewellery, for example parts of broken armrings from glass. Picture 2 shows a reconstruction of such a set, made by 3-dimensional computer tomography.
The surface is slightly irregular, handcrafted from real bronze. Will be delivered with leather thong.
