Small Omega Brooch, Silver

Ring or penannular brooches in shape of the greek letter Omega were popular for many generations. Stratigraphic examinations during the excavations in Augst, Switzerland (the ancient Augusta Raurica) proof the use from the early Roman Empire until the late 4th century. Our reconstruction bases on an original of a private collection in southern Germany. It is handcrafted from solid 925 silver, the pin is additionally forged to make it hard and fully operative. Diameter 33mm.
