Roman scabbard fitting for the suspension of the Spatha at the sword belt (balteus). Scabbard slide after an original find from the Upper Germanic Limes tower 4/48 (between Langgöns and Grüningen), type Carnap-Bornheim IIIC1. The original is slightly fragmented, the openwork heart shaped tip has been added. On the back, as on the original, there are two massive pins for attachment. Length ca. 160 mm
