Cernunnos Seal Pendant / Signet Stamp, Bronze
Seal pendant with a deer, the animal of Cernunnos. The celtic god, often shown with a deer´s antlers, was a very important god for the ancient celts, comparable with Jupiter to the romans. The probably most famous picture of cernunnos can be seen at the kettle of Gundestrup, but there are several other finds. Sculptures made from wood, found at the celtic sanctuary of Fellbach-Schmieden / Germany, shows a celtic god with two deers in his arms.
