Roman Scabbard Slide Osterburken
Scabbard slide from bronze with vine or ivy-leafs, based on an original of the limes fort of Osterburken, Germany. Late 2nd-3rd century.
The original was made from iron with black inlays, but our bronze reproduction fits better to baldric and scabbard fittings from bronze. The slide is fastened to the scabbard with 2 rivet pins of 3mm diameter. This is the simple variant without inlays. Length ca. 95mm, maximum width ca. 17mm.
