Our copy depicts the letters RMA, maybe a transcription of ROMA. In newer literature this type of jewellery was identified most probably as ancient souvenir, travelers bought in Rome and carried to the provinces.

Reconstruction of a well preserved original in private property. The letters can be interpreted in several ways. Some other originals bear the letters MAR or MARTIS with reference to the god war, Mars. Our copy depicts the letters RMA, maybe a transcription of ROMA. In newer literature this type of jewellery was identified most probably as ancient souvenir, travelers bought in Rome and carried to the provinces. It dates to the 2nd to 3rd century.
Anyway an extraordinary pendant, handcrafted in solid silver. Delivery with leather thong, diameter 33mm.
