Anchor brooches are related to the roman trumpet brooches. Most of them are found in the Balkans and in the region of the lower Danube, the former roman provinces of Pannonia and Dacia. They appear in the late 1st century and were popular through the 2nd century.
Our set of brooches with suspended foxtail-chain and ivy leaf pendants bases on a find from Ujszony / Hungary, now on display at the British Museum, London (pic. 3). The brooches are handcrafted from brass (pic. 2 shows a fibula in bronze) with a lavish authentic spiral pin construction. Delivery in a jewellery case.
