Ferret pour garnitures de ceinture d'époque romaine tardive. Dorchester, vers la fin IVe siècle au Ve siècle.
---------------------------------------
Late roman strap end, inspired by a find from Dorchester. The grave was discovered in 1874 during levelling works, it is the burial of a warrior of the late 4th / 5th century AD. The belt fittings as well as the finds of a woman´s grave nearby point to a continental origin of the deceased. Similiar finds come from Donderberg, NL.
Handcrafted from massive bronze. Will be delivered with bronze rivets. Length ca. 40 mm.
