A replica is an exact copy of an original. In most cases ancient objects are damaged or corroded. A perfect 1:1 replication usually doesn't satisfy the demand of a wearable piece of jewelry. The exact replica of an original find wouldn't be working, since all damages also would be copied. With "replica" we understand a working reconstruction of the piece into the condition in which the original could have been at the time of his production. It is possible to make such a reconstruction by comparison with similiar pieces. In some cases we have to work artistic, and to interpret a replica stylistically to get a working reconstruction of the former original.
In principle, all pieces of jewelry and replicas are in a working, usable and operative condition. they can be used for museum exhibitions, educational projects, Reenactment, Living History or Larp - Replik offers a broad assortment of over 1000 replicas from many epochs. Of course our replicas also fulfill decorative functions in a private collection or as a modern piece of jewelry for enthusiasts of special artefacts with a fascinating history.
