Roman strap-fittings with loop and hook junction
Those fittings were used to close horse harness straps or sword baldrics. The reconstruction bases on an original loop, which is part of a private collection. The plate with floral design is completed corresponding some finds from Vindonissa (cat. No. 1841, 1842). The zoomorphic hook with animal head bases on the finds 1858, 1861 and 1862. Handcrafted from real Bronze, the junction is supplied with rivets and instruction. Length of the loop 105mm, length of the hook 70mm, suitable for belts of 20mm in width. Leather sold separately.
