Enameled Cross Fibula, Bronze
The originals of these brooches (cloth pins) date to the 9th and 10th centuries, i.e. the Carolingian and Ottonian periods. These small enamel cross brooches are widespread in North, Central and West Germany, as well as in the Netherlands and Denmark.
The brooches have recessed cells into which enamel (coloured glass) was fused.

The originals of these brooches (cloth pins) date to the 9th and 10th centuries, i.e. the Carolingian and Ottonian periods. These small enamel cross brooches are widespread in North, Central and West Germany, as well as in the Netherlands and Denmark.
The brooches have recessed cells into which enamel (coloured glass) was fused.
Our small disc brooch is a reconstruction of an original moulding, i.e. all details were taken from the original. The glass inlays are dark green and cobalt blue, other colour wishes can be considered individually after consultation. The diameter of the disc brooch is about 22mm.
The delivery comes with a certificate in a nice jewellery case.
