Celtic brooch of the early Latène period
This type with its one-sided spring winding has its direct predecessors in Mediterranean fibulae. In particular, there is a noticeable relationship with the Certosa brooches, which were also used by the Etruscans. Imports from northern Italy such as precious earthenware and beak jugs thus also seem to have had an influence on local brooch production, unless the piece itself is an import.
