Celtic Pendant Type Hofheim

A number of these Hofheim-type pendants have been found in connection with late Celtic settlements, the oppida. They are associated with horse harnesses as lucky and decorative items. In terms of size, however, the piece is also very suitable as an everyday jewellery pendant.

A find from the Dünsberg, which was recovered and reported by a volunteer from the Hessian State Monuments Office, served as the basis. The front was reconstructed, the back still shows the unevenness of the original.

The triskele, the triple vortex in the centre of the disc, is a widespread and auspicious symbol in Celtic times.

Supplied with a leather strap in a jewellery case.
