Some gold jewellery with looped cross ornaments in filigree and granulation techniques were found at Hedeby. This fibula is handcrafted from real bronze.
Viking Brooch Terslev-Style
Among the finest jewellery of the viking age are pendants made in filigree and granulation techniques. High quality masterpieces of the ancient craftmanship are the thor´s hammer from Schonen and the amulets of Hiddensee.
Imitating the karolingian and ottonic artwork, all around the Baltic Sea emerge pendants and brooches in the so-called Terslev-style. Some gold pendants with looped cross ornaments in filigree and granulation techniques were found at Hedeby.
Our reproduction is handcrafted from bronze with iron pin. The brooch will be delivered with certificate in a gift box. Diameter ca. 50 mm.
