Celtic Torc Reinheim

Solid silver Torc (or Torques, neck ring) inspired by the find from the tomb of the "Princess of Reinheim".  This beautiful and detailed piece is elaborately handcrafted from solid 925 sterling silver! The Torc has a circumference of about 42 cm, individual size requests can be taken into account. Due to the handwork, minimal differences to the illustration are possible.

The distance between the heads of the torc should be adjusted so that the opening can be slipped over the neck. Repeated bending of the ring is not recommended, as this can lead to material fatigue.

Unfortunately, payment by direct debit or on account is not possible for this piece of jewellery. Due to the high value of the material, shipping is only possible after prepayment (bank transfer or PayPal).

Celtic Torc Reinheim

The early Celtic burial mound in Reinheim was discovered and archaeologically investigated in 1954. The site had already been disturbed by local sand quarrying, but numerous remarkable finds could still be secured. The orientation of the grave and the presence of pairs of arm rings indicate the burial of a woman, so that the find complex was named after the "Princess of Reinheim". Often, a religious function as a priestess is also assumed on the basis of the grave goods. The finds date to around 370 BC, but there is a continuity of the local population with numerous other archaeological sites from the Celtic era until well into Roman times.

In the meantime, the burial mound has been filled in again and is accessible to visitors. Replicas of the finds can be viewed on site.
